My vacations some years ago
I am getting read for my next vacation. I know that I have to wait one year but I am very busy now. I have to ask for a new passport and later I have to get a visa.
Some years ago I went to Canada and I had to go through all that work. It was easy to get a US visa but that was before 9/11 so I don´t know how it will go now.
That trip was great. I remember that I had to stop in Atlanta but I wasn´t able to visit the city. The few hours I spent at the airport were great. I remember that I made a mistake about the time and I wanted to call my parents and tell them the hour I would arrive in Vancouver. I didn´t know how to make that call though. Then I saw a girl with a green passport. That meant she was from Brazil so she could help me. She was very young and afraid of everything but when I asked her how to make that call she was able to help me.
So she felt a little better. And so did I.
Anyway, next year I will go to New York and I am already looking for New York tours so I will visit the city the easy way. I want to visit so many places there, like Central Park, Manhattan and of course I will visit the Top of the Rock!

Outro blog, novos planos
Outro dia comprei um novo domínio. Ainda estou procurando por um template legal, mas já tenho idéia do que vou fazer do blog.
Ano que vem pretendo viajar para Nova York e meu plano é usar somente o dinheiro que eu ganho na internet. Por enquanto já dá pra pagar a passagem, o que está ótimo.
Mas como não dá pra confiar no Google acho melhor investir em um novo blog. A maioria das pessoas que faz posts pagos tem mais de dois blogs. O segredo é justamente ter diversos blogs com assuntos bem diferentes.
O Tempopassa é sobre shopping online. Eu estou pegando pesado com ele porque acho que o Google vai tirar o pagerank dele no próximo update. Então é melhor tentar fazer o máximo de dinheiro agora. Enquanto isso vou trabalhando em outros blogs. Digo “outros” porque além do domínio que acabei de comprar ainda tenho mais alguns que estão parados.
Tenho que sentar um dia e decidir o que fazer com cada um deles. Difícil fazer isso quando você precisa trabalhar e ainda escrever nos blogs.
Mas vamos por partes. O novo domínio é o WayToNewYork e lá eu vou contar como estou fazendo para me preparar para a viagem.
Pretendo, com isso, não só falar do que eu ando fazendo, mas dar dicas para os viajantes. Se você pretende viajar pra fora fica de olho no blog porque você pode acabar aprendendo o caminho das pedras.
Things to buy and things to sell
I have told you before that I am planning to go to New York next year. One of the things I´d like to do is to buy things there and sell them here in Brazil. Our market tend to raise prices of things like notebooks and Ipods.
Bringing a notebook is quite difficult for me. It is heavy and I have to obbey a price limit or I will have to pay taxes. I am thinking about bringing other kind of things like make-up, Nautica watches, lotions, jewelry, clothes and scrapbooking material.
Actually I am dreaming about buying scrapbooking stuf for myself. I can´t hardly wait.
Do you think about insurance when you travel?
I never think about it. I know it is important to have a travel insurance but people tend to not think about it when it is not mandatory. When I traveled to Canada some years ago they said I had to do a travel insurance. It was something very easy to do.
Later they told me that if something happened, like if I got ill, the insurance would cover the cost. We hear a lot of horror stories about people who traveled and broke a leg but didn´t have the insurance so they had to pay a lot of money before getting out of the country.
Next year I am thinking about going to New York. One of the things I know I will have to check is my insurance.
Maior número de visitas
Só queria deixar registrado que meus esforços para aumentar o número de visitas do blog têm sido recompensados. Não sei dizer exatamente o que está dando certo.
Sei que os assuntos mais procurados são o modem 3g da Claro, o jogo The Sims e o Paypal. Fiz um teste de ping há umas semanas e isso pode ter ajudado muito.
Fiz uns redirecionamentos que, com certeza, aumentaram bastante a quantidade de visitantes. Tudo indica que o aumento de visitas se deve ao conjunto de ações e não a uma ação específica.
Esse blog costumava ter muitas visitas até o dia que eu mudei de servidor. Nesse dia alguma coisa aconteceu ou um conjunto de coisas aconteceram. O site vinha passando por instabilidade, acabou ficando fora do ar alguns dias, o Google resolveu punir todo mundo naquela semana, meu pagerank caiu, mudei o template do site, não gostei e mudei de novo, esqueci de ajeitar o código do RealRank e, finalmente, não percebi que existiam páginas dentro do meu site que tinham perdido o redirecionamento com a mudança do servidor. Ah, e a lista de pings tinha esvaziado.
Agora estou tentando recuperar tudo o que foi perdido. Imagino que o mais difícil vai ser mesmo o Pagerank. Duvido muito que o Google vá perdoar o fato de eu querer ganhar dinheiro na internet.
Se ele gosta ou não, não importa. Vou continuar a escrever textos com palavras como Briggs and Riley que nada mais é do que um site que vende luggage ou malas de viagem. Tudo muito lindo e fofo e provavelmente barato.
