I am going to use more ads
I have noticed that my blog is not well used when it comes to ads. I have those ads on sidebar but other than that I am not using the space the right way. So I am going to test some ads and see what happens.
I am sure my visitors will find something interesting not only in my posts but also in the ads. So keep an eye at ads and don´t forget to check the posts. Sometimes I am going to talk about products on sale like bridesmaid gifts, and sometimes I am going to talk about how Internet can be interesting.
Sometimes I am going to write in my language and most of the time I am going to write in English. So I ask you to come back more often because you can find something interesting in posts or ads.
Hosting services easy to be found
Imagine this situation. You decide to move to another town and you see that a big company is offering free houses to everyone. You think it is a good thing, you don´t even mind if there is a banner on the top of your free house.
Another thing about your free house is that you will have a strange address. It will be something like: House 123, Street of Free Houses;
Again, you don´t care because your house is free.
You are not allowed to make modifications in your free house and the owner of your house is always making new rules, telling you that you can´t start a small business in your house. But it is free, so who cares?
One day the owner of your house decides that you have ugly frames on your wall and while you are sleeping somethings terrible happens. You wake up the next day and your house is not there anymore. Everything disappeared. Your furniture, your personal things, your memories.
And in a few days House 123 will be recreated but you can´t live there anymore.
So, what do you think about that situation? Impossible? Not in the Internet. If you have a blog that is hosted in a free account then you are at risk. I remember a few years back a free hosting company that decided to give up doing that and closed all accounts. The only way to take back the files was to pay a fee.

Que programas de afiliados você usa?
Andei fazendo umas pesquisas na internet sobre programas de afiliados. Acho que a melhor forma de ganhar dinheiro na internet é escrevendo posts pagos ou colocando anúncios no seu site.
O problema com posts pagos é que você tem que se dedicar demais e tem hora que você não tem nenhuma idéia pra escrever mas precisa escrever.
Já com anúncios no site o problema é que seu site tem que ser muito bom pra alguém te pagar muito pra colocar um anúncio lá. O Google Adsense não rende quase nada, ainda mais no Brasil.
Mas existe um modo muito bom de se ganhar dinheiro, sem ter trabalho ainda por cima. Trata-se dos programas de afiliados. Muitos sites no Brasil têm esse sistema de afiliados, como o Submarino, por exemplo.
Mas eu nem coloco o link aqui porque o Submarino, depois que foi comprado pelas Americanas, acabou afundando de vez.
Existem outros programas de afiliados muito bons, como o Mercado Livre. Estou pensando em me cadastrar lá pra poder colocar o link de afiliados aqui.
Agora, o melhor programa de afiliados, pelo menos pra mim, está sendo o do SponsoredReviews. Recomendo que todos usem porque realmente funciona.
Cadastrem-se no site, esperem pra receber a aprovação do blog e depois entrem na parte de afiliados. Saiam distribuindo os links e esperem os resultados.
Quando eu finalmente me toquei que dava pra ganhar dinheiro assim, o que aconteceu há menos de um mês, eu tinha dois referrals. E eles me renderam quinze dolares. Assim, sem esforço nenhum.

Do I need pagerank?
I have been asking myself if I really need pagerank. I don´t think I do. When I lost my PR I thought I would lose my blog, my visitors, my posts.
But everything is just normal. Life goes on without pagerank and it is not that terrible. My blog is getting the same amount of visitors, my backlinks are increasing, I am having even more comments. I have another blog that is PR3 and it doesn´t get that kind of visitors.
Is pagerank important for companies? I wouldn´t say that either. The average user don´t use the toolbar so they don´t know anything about it and don´t care if the company has a high PR or not.
The ranking on the other hand is important and I don´t think pagerank and ranking go together anymore.
What if the world ended
What if the world ended like tomorrow? And you are able to save yourself, of course. What would you bring with you? If you read The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy you would say a towel.
I would say the guide itself. I could find a towel in another planet. Or not.
Ok, let me see what I could take with me. It must be something useful. Maybe my notebook, but I am not sure I would have eletricity. My cell phone but who would I call? A book. Can I bring tons of books? An entire library, please? Marvin would be enough if I can´t bring more books. He knows a lot.
That´s what I would like to have if I am going to leave my planet. I could distract myself and if I met some alien I could teach him things about Earth.
